Esta Lea McElroy passed away May 27th, 2011 in Arvin, California. Lea was born in Hobart, Oklahoma June 16, 1918. Lea moved to Arvin with her parents at age of 18. She graduated from Bakersfield High School, then moved to Pasadena, where she obtained employment at Lockheed Martin Defense plant during world war II. She retired from Lockheed in 1975 and returned Arvin. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Robert Sr. and Ramona McElroy. She is survived by four brothers Robert Jr. (Lorene), Joe (Wanda), Kenneth (Carolyn), and Bobby Gene (Evelyn), and two sisters Roberta Denney, and Virginia Horton (Harold) and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted Friday June 3 at Arvin cemetery chapel by Rev. Frank Michael. The Service is entrusted to the Arvin Mortuary.
