Emilio Cortez was born November 18,1961 in Aguanuato Michoacan, Mexico to Audon and Aurora (Vallandares) Cortez. In May 1984 he married his love, Maria Mata. Emilio loved horses and participated in Rodeos while he was in Mexico. When he moved to California he started his career in agriculture working for Bolthouse, Grimway, Sunview and Giumara. Emilio was preceded in death by his father, Audon and his son Noe Cortez. He is survived by his wife, Maria; mother, Aurora; sons, Antonio, Jose, Emilio, Jr. and Abraham: daughter, Maria; brothers, Ignacio, Mario, and Jose; sisters, Irma, Maria Cruz, Maria de Jesus, Eugenia, Miguelina, Aurora, and many other loving family members. Rosary will be recited at Hopson- Anspach Family Mortuary, Lamont on Thursday November 1, 2007 at 7pm. Mass of a Christian Burial will said at St. Augustine's Catholic Church on Friday October 2, 2007 at 10am. Interment will follow at South Kern Cemetery District in Arvin. Visitations for Emilio will be held at Hopson-Anspach Family Mortuary, Lamont on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 from 2 to 8pm and Thursday November 1, 2007 from 2pm to 9pm.
