Our beloved Mother, friend, and the wife of the late Dr. Loren Yaussy, passed away at Mercy Hospital early Tuesday morning. Affectionately known as Lizanne, she was born in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, in the town of Ishpeming. Upon graduating from Detroit Nursing College in 1945, she joined the post-war migration to California. At the Southern Pacific Railroad Hospital in San Francisco she met Loren Yaussy of Arvin, California, a naval medical intern. They were married in San Francisco on October 17, 1947. They ultimately settled in Bakersfield in 1952, where they enjoyed many years of California living with their family and many friends. In their later years, Loren and Lizanne traveled extensively. One very special trip was with the family to see her fore-bearers' towns and counties in Ireland. Lizanne is survived by her children, Jane Yaussy Coffelt and husband, Mark Coffelt of Austin, Texas; Dr. Cathie Yaussy and husband, Dr. Nick Hogan of Dallas, Texas; and Tom Yaussy of San Francisco. She is also survived by sister, Mary Hall of Sacramento; brother, Edward Reinhardt of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and sister-in-law, Helen Eberle of Arvin; as well as grandsons, Loren and Nicholas Coffelt and Jeffrey Hogan. The family wishes to express sincere love and deep gratitude to our "Joyce", who provided such beautiful comfort, friendship and understanding to Mom in her later years. May your everlasting faith ensure that you Rest in Peace and sing with the angels. Rosary will be held at Hopson Anspach Mortuary, Thursday, August 21st at 6:30pm with viewing time from 3pm to 8pm.
