A viewing was held Tuesday, November 21, 2006 from 2-8 pm, with the Recitation of The Holy Rosary at 6pm, at Arvin Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at 11am at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Father John Schmoll officiated and interment followed at South Kern Cemetery District. Elizabeth, 18, was born to Francisco and Estela Hernandez on February 16, 1988 in Bakersfield, California. Elizabeth loved music, fashion and trucks. She enjoyed giving make-overs and baking for others; she was considering cosmetology training, but also had aspirations of opening a restaurant someday. She enjoyed just hanging out with her friends, but she was also known for watching her nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. Elizabeth is survived by her mother Estela Hernandez; her brothers, Elvis Campos and friend Angelica, and Javier Hernandez; her sisters, Beatriz and husband Daniel Flores and Elia M. Quintana; her nieces and nephews, Cindy, Esmeralda, Elvis Jr., Alexis, Bianca, Natalie, and Melanie; her grandparents, Carmen Cortez, Concepcion Hernandez and Trinidad Chavez. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her father Francisco Hernandez and her grandpa Trinidad Pantoja.
