Elida B. Garza was born in Harlingen, Texas on January 14, 1932 to Martin and Eloisa (Sylva) Beltran. She married Marcelino G. Garza and together they raised their four children. Elida was a loving mother and dedicated her life to raising her children. She passed away on November 17, 2014 in Shafter, California. She is survived by her children Ramiro Ray Gonzalez of Shafter, Marcelino Garza Jr. of Bakersfield, Glenda Ada Cariaga of Idaho, and Joseph Garza of Idaho; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and her sister Guadalupe Palacios of Texas. Elida is preceded in death by her husband Marcelino; and three brothers. A Graveside service will be held at Shafter Memorial Park on Friday November 21, 2014 at 2pm with a viewing on Thursday November 20, 2014 from 4-8pm at Peters Funeral Home Chapel in Shafter.
