Eliborio Mendez Vera July 30, 1922 - December 24, 2006 Eliborio M. Vera was born on July 30, 1922 to Filomeno & Gregoria (Mendez) Vera in Manuel Doblado Guanajuato, Mexico. In 1942, he married the love of his life, Juana Mendez, and they had just celebrated 64 years of marriage last month. In 1964, they came to the United States looking for a better life and together they had six children. Mr. Vera loved gardening and had very beautiful flowers, vegetables and fruit trees growing in his yard. He was a family man, and will be missed dearly. He was survived by his wife, Juana; 3 sons, Lupe, Miguel and Jose Vera of Wasco; daughters, Maria Beltran and husband Frank (Pancho), Ramona and Rosario Vera of Wasco; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grand children; 2 brothers, Juan and Lupe Vera of Mexico; 2 sisters, Joaquini and Petra of Mexico. Eliborio passed away at the age of 84, on December 24, 2006, in Wasco, California. Rosary was held on December 27, at St. John's Catholic Church at 6:30PM. A Mass of the Christian Burial was held Thursday, December 28, 2006 at 10AM at St. Johns Catholic Church in Wasco. Service was officated by Father Jerome Anthonapa and Interment followed at Wasco Memorial Park. A visitation was held at Peters Funeral Home.
