Efren Lopez was born May 25, 1961 in Noria de Mosqueda, Guanajauto, Mexico to Jose and Maria (Ariola) Lopez. He has been a resident of Lamont for 16 years, working for Duncan Farms and Sunview. He married Maria Teresa Arellano in 1990. He loved to spend his free time playing with his children. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Surviving him are his wife of 17 years, Maria Teresa Arellano of Lamont; sons, Efren, Jr. Luis and Daniel, all of Lamont; daughter, Maria Guadalupe of Lamont; mother-in-law, Maria G. Arellano; brother, Guillermo; sister, Rosa; and many other loving family, including nieces and nephews. Holy Rosary will be recited Monday, October 29, 2007 at 7pm at Hopson-Anspach Family Mortuary, Lamont for Efren Lopez, age 46 of Lamont who passed away October 25, 2007 in Earlimart in a traffic collision. Mass of the Christian Burial will be said, Tuesday, October 30 at 10am at St. Augustine's Church, Lamont. Fr. John Schmoll will officiate and interment will follow at South Kern Cemetery, Arvin. A visitation will be held Monday, October 29, from 2pm – 9pm at Hopson-Anspach Family Mortuary.
