IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Edward Gene
Parten
August 23, 1957 – July 2, 2017
Ed was born to Joe and Willie Mae Parten on August 23, 1957, in Tulare, CA; he passed away July 2, 2017 at his home in Wasco, CA. Ed was a lifelong resident of Wasco, growing up on Aspen Street, where he met the love of his life, Debbie Bridgeman. The two were married on February 7, 1976 here in Wasco. They were happily married for 41 years and had three sons, Gene Jr., Joe and Adam. Ed was a professional truck driver for over 40 years. He had a smile that could light up a room, and he always had a joke to share or a story to tell. Ed loved his family with all his heart. Spending time with his wife, boys and grandchildren always made him most happy. He also loved to be out on the water fishing. Ed was a loving son, husband, father, papa, uncle, brother and cousin. He will be dearly missed. Ed was preceded in death by his mother, Willie Mae Parten; his nephew, Sean Thomas Parten; and his daughter in law, Andrea Lynn Parten. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Parten; his father, Joe Parten and wife Darlene; his sons, Edward Gene Parten Jr. and wife Arian, Joe Adrian Parten and Adam Wayne Parten; his niece, Tasha Maston and husband Brian; his 9 grandchildren, Lilly, Haley, Madison, Monae, Mackenzie, Tyler, Logan, Connor and Jax; his sisters, Lela Pentecost, Louise Branson, Virginia and husband Mike Horton, and Diane Jeffords; and his brothers, Charles Parten and Ronnie Parten; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Ed will be truly missed; we know you are on the front porch just a swinging with the angels.
