Edward "Chip" Joseph Deleasa Jr. was born February 22, 1962 in Passaic New Jersey to Beverly Jo (Blair) and Edward Josph Deleasa, Sr. He came to Shafter in 1973 and attended the local schools, graduating in 1980 from Shafter High. He was a Nascar fan, who enjoyed taking his girls to the beach whenever he had an opportunity to and looked forward to going back to New Jersey and visit with extended family. Chip was preceded in death by his father, Edward Joseph Deleasa Sr. (1993) and survived by his loving daughters, Morgan Ekegren - husband Jonathan, Madison Deleasa and Mika Deleasa; mother Bev Deleasa-Zecca; brothers Doug and Steve along with extended family and many caring friends. A Celebration of Life will be held for Chip, age 48, of Bakersfield, at the home of his mother, Beverly on Saturday May 29, 2010 – 1pm.
