Edith Mozelle Peddy February 3, 1934 – June 22, 2009 Edith "Edie" "Mamaw" Peddy went to be with Jesus on June 22, 2009. Edith was born in Bonham, Texas on August 3, 1917 to Toy and Flora Lorance who both preceded her in death. Edith married Clyde A. Peddy February 3, 1934 and they moved to Lamont in 1951, Clyde passed away in 1963. Edith was retired after working 26 years for the Parkview Julian Convalescent Center. Edith was a member of the Lamont Apostolic Tabernacle Church for 40 years and most recently a longtime member of the Rosedale Apostolic Church with a loving and much respected pastor The Rev. Guy P. Hoss. For the past 8 years Edith resided at Glenwood Gardens assisted living facility. The family would like to extend a very special thank you and deep appreciation for the loving staff and special caretakers from Hoffman Hospice; Anne, Coleen and Maria for their untiring love and concern; and a special tribute to her two favorite caregivers Armando and Eugene. Edith is survived by her 3 children, Wayland D. Peddy and his wife Bessie of Bakersfield, Clydean Ward and her husband Eddie of Lamont and Dorothy Rose and husband Rev. Dell Rose of Lompoc; grandchildren, Debbie Rose Hosken, Dana Suzie Ledbetter, Sandee Dunn, Stacie Pantagas and Steven Ward. Brother Dutch Holland Lorance and sister Wanda Lorance. 8 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Edith will be held at 1PM Thursday June 25 at the Rosedale Apostolic Church, 2701 Mosasco St. off Rosedale Hwy., with interment to follow at the South Kern Cemetery, Arvin under the direction of the Arvin Funeral Home.,.
