Obituary

Earl William Clark, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather left us to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born February 7, 1936 in McMullen County, Texas to Ina B. (Elliott) and James W. Clark. Earl came to Kern County in 1959 working with various farmers as a laborer in the agriculture industry retiring after working 50 years. He was a very kind man, non-selfish and thinking of others first with his helping heart. A husband who took care of and spoiled his wife Wanda; favorite pastimes include watching wrestling on TV, shop at Wal-Mart. He left nothing unturned, very contentious about getting all bills paid as soon as they came in the mail. Earl W. Clark was preceded in death by his parents, brother Earl W. Clark Jr. (1982), first wife of 43 years Maggie Gleneth (Kendell) Clark (2001) and step-daughter Jean Jackson (2008) step daughter Nellie Ruth Grey; step son Robert Allen Johnson. He is survived by loving wife, Wanda Marie (Johnson) Clark; his brothers Roy and Gary Clark; sisters Mary Barnett-companion Henry Carreras, Betty Allen and Myrtle Parton; step children JB, Jack Earl, Nell Gray, Lavina Adams-husband James, Wilma Spregue; numerous grand and great grandchildren, extended family and friends. Reverend Fred Cruse will officiate a chapel service for Earl William Clark, age 74, of Lamont 10am Friday May 21, 2010 at South Kern Cemetery District with 2 to 5pm visitation at Arvin Funeral Home Chapel, Thursday May 20, 2010.
