Dustin Garcia was born on March 5, 1978 in Bakersfield, California. He graduated from Wasco Union High School with the class of 1996. Dustin married Claudia Melissa Sanchez on September 23, 1996. He worked as a craftsman in oil field construction for Valley Sun Mechanical, TCI, Brinderson and PCL. He liked spending time with his family, having friends over for BBQ's, boating at the local lakes, camping, dancing and clubbing. Dustin is survived by his wife Claudia; his daughters, Destiny Angelina and Bianca Nicole Garcia; parents, Pedro Sanchez and Joan Soto; brothers, Dominic Montoya and Adrian Sanchez; sisters, Rosalinda De La Rosa and Stephanie Serna; step-sisters, Yolanda Carender and Veronica Lopez; and mother-in-law Yolanda Sanchez. He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Trinidad Ventura and Olegaria Morales; uncle, Rudy Ventura; and father-in-law, Ignacio Sanchez. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held Sunday, July 27 at 5pm at St. Johns Catholic Church for Dustin O'Neal Garcia, age 30, of Wasco who passed away July 22, 2008. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, July 28, 2008 at 11am at St. Johns Catholic Church. Father John Schmoll of St. Augustine's Catholic Church, of Lamont will officiate the service and interment will follow at Wasco Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday, July 27 from 12noon to 4pm at Peters Funeral Home.
