Duncan James Hanson, 87, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday July 10, 2016. Duncan was born in Merced, California on July 18th, 1928 to James and Dora Hanson. He was the youngest of five children. Duncan graduated from Chino High School where he was an outstanding athlete and lettered in three sports. Duncan served in the United States Army from October 1950 until October 1952. He spent fifteen months overseas in Germany in an occupancy force. Duncan married his wife Bernice in 1952, together they raised three daughters Sharon, Donna and Vicki. He moved his family to Wasco, California in 1961 with Armstrong Nursery, where he was a Rose Grower for over 50 years. Duncan loved to go out for rides on his Honda 90 trail bike, he enjoyed taking trips down to San Felipe Mexico and go fishing. Duncan liked vacationing with his family on the Colorado River where they spend time on their boat skiing and fishing. Duncan always had a way to make you laugh and smile. Duncan was preceded in death by his parents; his two sisters Etta and Alma; and two brothers Arvil and Arnold; and the love of his life, his wife for 61 years Bernice. He is survived by his three daughters Sharon Cotter (Howard), Donna Porter (Mike), Vicki Green; five granddaughters Kimberly, Tiffani, Dawn, Kristen, Amber; one grandson KK; fifteen great grandchildren; extended family members and many loving friends. A Graveside Service for Duncan will was held at 10am on Monday July 18, 2016 at Wasco Memorial Park, 300 Leonard Avenue, Wasco, CA.
