Douglas Peter Moorhead was born December 24, 1952 to Barbara (Crowder) and Robert Moorhead in Stanton Island, New York. After graduating from South Plainfield High School in New Jersey, Douglas joined the U.S. Navy in 1971 and served on the USS Fort Snelling. Douglas was a Satellite Technician for 25 years with Boeing. He married his beautiful wife Debra in 1996 in Avalon; he was the perfect model husband. Doug adored his four dogs, Meeko, Keith, Peek-A-Boo and Malakai and he loved taking them for rides in the Scout up in the mountains. He was member of the Frazier Park Scout Club and looked forward to going on four wheel drive runs and camping trips. His garage was his palace; he could fix, make and restore anything. He will always be remembered as the favorite son, brother, uncle, nephew and best friend. Doug's smile will surely be missed by all. Douglas is survived by his wife Debra of 12 years; stepsons, Brett and Cole Bode; mother, Barbara Greder; father, Robert Moorhead and wife Terri; brothers Cliff Moorhead and wife Joann of New York, Rob Moorhead and wife Maureen of New Jersey; sister, Melinda Parry and husband Dale of Pennsylvania; stepbrother, Chris Chmielewski and wife Jackie of New Jersy; stepsister, Robin Long and husband Dave and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial service will be conducted under the direction of Arvin Funeral Home on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 2:00pm at Lebec Church in Lebec CA. for Douglas Peter Moorhead, age 55, of Fraizer Park who passed away in his sleep on September 20, 2008. Pastor Phil Wallace will officiate the memorial.
