Doshie Williams Followill was born September 21, 1912 in Oklahoma to Joe and Vesta (Collins) Burns, and passed away Feb. 4th,2007. Doshie came to the Lamont area from Oklahoma in the mid 1940's. She lived as a homemaker here for many years and attended Fairfax Assembly Church. Many knew her as a strong willed woman who stood firm in traditional beliefs. Doshie will be greatly missed; she was loved and respected by many. Doshie is survived by her son, James Williams and wife Terri of Bakersfield; daughters, Dorothy Davis and husband Bob of Boron; Doris Reed and husband Don of Bakersfield; Margret Moore and husband Charles of Lamont; Carolyn (Kitty) Lester of Bakersfield; Dinah Brogdon of Bakersfield; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Doshie is preceded in death by her son, Donnie Burgan. Visitation for Doshie was at 2-8pm Feb. 7th, Hopson-Anspach Family Mortuary in Lamont. Graveside service was held Feb. 8th 2007, at Hillcrest Memorial Park at 11am.
