IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Doris
Warkentine
June 18, 1928 – October 7, 2017
Doris Warkentine passed away peacefully on October 7, 2017. She was not one to admit to her age so we will respect her wishes. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was always actively involved in her community, children, grandchildren and church until Alzheimer's no longer allowed her. She attended every track meet of her son, Larry, swim meet of daughter, Jana and cheerleading event of daughter, Lynne. She attended soccer, baseball, softball, cheer and dance for her grandchildren, Katie, Chris and Sarah. She was past president of Junior Women's Club and Women's Club. She was blue bird and campfire girl leader for both her daughters and bethel guardian of Job's Daughters Bethel 138. She was a wonderful hostess to family and friends whether it was in Wasco or her dream home in Cayucos. She stole Al's heart at first site to the dismay of many a girl and they were happily married for almost 68 years and they were lucky to travel to many exotic places. We miss her terribly, but know she is at peace and with Al and Larry again. She is survived by her daughters Jana and Cliff Howe and Lynne and Mike Florence. Grandchildren Katie Warkentine, Chris Florence and Sarah and Will Gasper. We want to express our sincere thanks to Golden Living in Shafter for taking wonderful care of our mother for the past 3 years and to Optimal Hospice.
