Services for Don will be held on Friday, September 25, 2:00 p.m. at the Peter's Funeral Home, 844 E. Lerdo Hwy., Shafter, CA. Pastor Ric Johnson will officiate. Don was born on May 13, 1940 in Boise Idaho to parents Helen Dixon and Tommy Romich. Don and his brother, Robert, were raised by their Grandmother, Kristy Dixon. Don is survived by his wife of 44 years, Barbara; their children, Carey and Donald Jr.; son-in-law, David Ehlers; daughter-in-law, Sheryl Dixon; grandchildren, Christopher Ehlers and Amy Dixon; and brother, Robert. Don grew up with only one brother. Luckily, he married into the Self family, in which he inherited eleven sisters, eleven brothers, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, September 24, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Peter's Funeral Home.
