IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dolores Diaz
Pallares
June 15, 1944 – January 1, 2026
Dolores Diaz Pallares was born June 15, 1944, in El Paso TX. She moved to Santa Maria where she was orphaned at a young age. She later met and married George B. Pallares on November 20, 1962, which lasted 39 years. Dolores passed peacefully in her sleep on January 1, 2026, at the age of 81, in Wasco, CA. Her warm and friendly nature touched everyone she met.
"Lola" as she was affectionately called by her friends and family leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She is survived by her children and their spouses Frank and Alma Pallares, George J. and Bera Pallares, Ismael and Rebecca Pallares, Maria and Victor Munoz, and John Pallares. Many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, as well as her sisters Margarita Garcia and Adelina Rodriguez. Preceded in death are George B Pallares (husband), Francisca Olivas (mother), Antonio Diaz (father) Ramon Morales and Antonio Trujillo (brothers), Maria Serrano, Juana Garcia and Jesse Cornell (sisters).
Dolores attended Santa Maria High school, Wasco High School, and Bakersfield College. Her commitment to helping others lead her to a fulfilling career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for 15 years. Her compassion and care for her patients were a testament to her loving spirit and her Christian faith. She said her patients were good to her and she was good to them. She earned many awards, certificates, and recognition as a CNA. She continued to give to various charities and volunteered at food banks, schools, and taught CCD.
Lola's interests and talents were many she found solace in the melodies of Elvis Presley. Her sewing, needlework, doll making, and paintings were not just hobbies but expressions of her creativity. She also crafted rosaries, each bead symbolizing her strong faith and her desire to share it with others.
Described by those who knew her as funny, friendly, and courageous Lola's sense of humor was childlike not childish and could brighten even the darkest days. Her courage, especially in the face of adversity, inspired all who were fortunate enough to know her. Lola's ability to connect with people and spread kindness was her greatest gift and her absence will be profoundly felt by her friends and family and community she's so lovely served.
As we bid farewell to Dolores Diaz Pallares we celebrate a life lived with purpose, love, and an unyielding spirit. Her memory will continue to guide and comfort us just as her life was a testament to the beauty of a heart given in service to others. Lola's legacy is one of enduring love and laughter, a reminder to cherish every moment and to live with the same courage and compassion that she exemplified every day.
