October 27, 1916 – January 4, 2011
Doice "Buster" Cox was born October 27, 1916 in Lexington, Oklahoma to Nora and Solomon Cox next to the youngest of 10 children. He served in the United States Army during World War II from April of 1942, to October of 1945. Doice worked for Monolith Cement Plant for 27 years and also had Jeans Market in Arvin for 20 years. Together they raised their beautiful family of four children. He enjoyed playing cards anytime he had a chance. Doice Cox is preceded in death by his wife Imagene Cox of 68 years, survived by 4 children, Loveta Sands (Dalmer), Gerald Cox, Gary (Holly) Cox, Sequeta Dees and Doug of Nevada. Ten (10) grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Grandsons were be his pallbearers. Visitation from 9 am to noon was held for Doice "Buster" Cox, age 94, of Arvin, CA, on Monday January 10, 2011, at Arvin Funeral Home, 2pm Chapel Service at South Kern Cemetery District in Arvin with interment immediately followed.
