Delois Witcher was born September 30, 1919 in Tyler Texas, to Oscar and Effie Poston. She passed away on February 9, 2018, in Bakersfield, California. Delois's family moved to the Bakersfield area in 1937. She married Hanley Witcher in 1940. Hanley was the Chief of Police for the city of Shafter. Delois was a librarian and worked for many years for the Richland School District as a financial manager. Delois is survived by son Ron Witcher of Bakersfield, CA, daughter Carol Aridt of Springville, CA, six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Graveside Service will be at 10am on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Shafter Memorial Park.
