A visitation will be held for Delfino Torres, 66, of Wasco on Thursday, July 5, 2007, from 2-5pm at Peters Funeral Home in Wasco. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be said Thursday at 6pm at St. John's Catholic Church in Wasco, and the Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, July 6, at 10 am. Interment will follow at Wasco Memorial Park. Delfino was born December 26, 1940 in Aguagorda, Zacatecas, Mexico to Juan and Socorro Torres. He was married to Elisa Gonzalez on February 14, 1966 and had 5 children. He worked for Bloemhof Ag for 15 years. Delfino died July 3, 2007 at home after a long illness. He was a very hard-working and loving man, loved by his children and grandchildren. Delfino is survived by his loving wife, Elisa; 3 sons, Hector and wife, Alicia Torres, Delfino and wife, Monica Torres and Juan Jose and wife, Teresa Gonzales; 2 daughters, Angelica and husband, Ismael Galvan and Alicia and husband, Sergio Pimentel; brother, Ruben; 3 sisters, Delia, Maria and Carmen; 16 grandchildren, Arturo, Luis, Marisol, Jr., Lizette, Juan, Ashlie, Michael, Erick, Sergio, Elizabeth, Carlos, Adriana, Janet, William, and Alejandro. He is preceded in death by one sister, Eva and both of his parents.
