Deborah "MiMi" Shockley, went to be with the Lord October 6, 2017, in Bakersfield, CA, with her loving family and friends by her bedside. She was born January 17, 1952, in Bakersfield, CA. MiMi had love for everyone, always feeding, throwing parties and giving gifts to family and friends. MiMi fostered many children over the years and cared for them as her own children. Her love for children continued with working in the childrens ministry, at her Church, for many years. MiMi Truly had a giving heart, and will be missed. MiMi leaves behind her loving husband, James Shockley, children, Jamie Walker, James Kenneth Shockley, Jeremy Shockley, Jeanette Shockley, James Allen Shockley, Jensen Shockley, Jessie Shockley and Ayanna Roam, 14 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren, 2 Brothers, 1 Sister and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. It broke our hearts to lose you but you did not go alone. A part of us went with you the day God took you home. If tears could build a stairway and heartaches make a lane, wed walk our way to heaven and love on you again. In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place no one could ever fill. A Memorial Service is Thursday, October 12, 2017 - 5PM at Golden Valleys Truth Tabernacle Church, 214 Hosking Ave., Bakersfield, CA 93307 Interment - Private.
