Mrs. Deana Lee Montgomery 1950-2009 Deana Montgomery of Shafter passed away December 30, 2009 in Bakersfield at the age of 59. She was born in Delano November 1, 1950 to Joseph and Edith(Willis) Bell. Deana attended school in Delano and eventually moved to Shafter where she has lived for the last 30 yrs. Deana earned her nursing degree and had worked most recently for the Beverly Manor Convalescent home. She enjoyed traveling, camping, reading, photography and most of all spending time with her grandkids. Deana is survived by her husband Mark, Son: Brian, Daughters: Christi Richards and Marshelle Fain. 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister Barbara Miller. A Graveside service will be held Monday January 4, 2009 at 12 noon at the Shafter Memorial Park. Visitation will take place at Peters Funeral Home starting at 9 am prior to the graveside service.
