Obituary

Dayda A. Few August 10, 1923-February 15, 2009 Dayda Ann Bledsoe was born on May 10, 1923 to Samuel and Mary (Smith) Bledsoe in Talihina, Oklahoma. Dayda's mother passed away when she was 2 years old and she was raised by Earl and Deola Few. Dayda and William Few married in 1941 and made their home in Wasco. In 1958 William began his career as a minister and the family moved around California and finally settled in Bakersfield. Dayda worked for Brock's Department Store and for Judd's Specialty Shop for 25 years. After Bill passed away Dayda moved to Sonoma then Modesto to be near her children, where she has lived for the last 7 years. Dayda was preceded in death by her son, William Albert Few IV in 1956; husband, Rev. William Few in 2000; son-in-law, Charles in 2006; great-granddaughter, Angela in 2008; and sister, Willie Carlton in 1995. She is survived by her son, David Few and his wife Anita of Sonoma; daughter, Patricia Crist of Modesto; 2 sisters, Wanda Bryce of Poteet, Texas and Betty Cole of Wasco; 2 granddaughters Catherine Crist Conner, Elizabeth Crist and her husband John Crist; 2 great-granddaughters, Brianna Crist-Hill and Danielle Nieblas. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 20, at 10am at Peters Funeral, Wasco for Dayda Few, age 85, who passed away February 15, 2009 in Modesto.
