David C. Stogden was born May 31, 1917 in Alamogordo, New Mexico to Thomas and Julia (Carrillo) Stogden. David served our country during World War II attaining the rank of Private First Class with the Troop C 5th Cavalry. He moved to Bakersfield after serving in the military and began a 35 year career with Southern Pacific Railroad. He was married to Consuelo Martinez for 61 years. David is survived by his wife, Connie; daughters, Rebecca and husband Raul Garza, Jessie and husband Joaquin Mendiara, Margie and husband Aaron Garcia and Michelle and husband David Attreed; brothers, Fred Stogden and Thomas Stogden; grandchildren James Stogden-Garza and wife Nancy, Jeffrey Stogden-Garza and son, Damian Jaeger, Aaron Stogden-Garcia and wife Kimberly Michelle and their daughters, Rileigh and Ryan Nicole, and Joshua Stogden-Garcia. David was preceded in death by his parents and 5 siblings. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will precede the celebration of the Mass of the Christian Burial on Friday, November 21 at 9am at St. Francis of Assisi Church for David C.
