Darrell Barton, 36, of Shafter, went to be with the Lord on December 14, 2009. He is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Ann Barton. Darrell is survived by his wife, Vanessa Barton, his daughter Darien, his sons Derrick, Aaron and Brandon and his father, Warren Barton. He is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Andy and Gail Alvidrez. He leaves behind his brothers' Skipper, Jerry, Ricky, Eddie and Keith, his four sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, and his grandmothers Pearl and Juanita. In addition, he leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many great friends who loved him dearly. Darrell enjoyed watching sports, particularly football. He was an avid Denver Broncos fan. His greatest joys however were his four children. Funeral services will be held in Shafter at Peters Funeral Home, 844 E. Lerdo Hwy. on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 11:00am, followed by burial at Shafter Cemetery.
