Daniel Jerome Williams, a 67-year resident of California and a 29-year resident of Yucca Valley, died Dec. 11, 2011, at home. He was 67 years old. The son of Floyd Cass Williams and Veronica Kathleen Litzinger Neves, he was born Aug. 8, 1944, in Artesia. Mr. Williams worked as Dan Dan Garage Door Man for 30 years, and was retired for the last five years. His hobby was restoring classic cars. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bonnie Williams. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Linda Williams of Yucca Valley; sisters Helen Zimmer of Downey and Phyllis Neves of N. Haledon, N.J.; brother Larry Zimmer of Downey; sons Daniel Williams of Muscle Shoals, Ala., Randy Coburn of Idaho and Christopher Coburn of Utah; daughters Lorie Williams of Vista and Nicole Coburn of Idaho; and daughter and son-in-law Tammy and David Carter of Yucca Valley. His also is survived by his 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, Amber Rashid, Tonya Johnson, Tina Arbaugh, Amber Mendes, Tannys Williams, Brittany Carter, Icesis Coburn, Ellie Coburn, Alex Carter, John Rashid, Matt Johnson, Jason Mendes, Ricky Arbaugh, D.A. Williams, Emillio Trevino, Saven Trevino, Nathan Coburn, Asher Coburn, Danner Coburn and Joel Faith Carter. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Dec. 17 at the Joshua Springs in the Jelly Donut center at 56099 Twentynine Palms Highway, Yucca Valley, CA 92284. Services will be officiated by Pastor Jerel Hagerman.
