Curtis Lee Fain passed away on Friday, December 7, 2012 in Bakersfield, CA. Curtis was born on June 12, 1960 in Bakersfield, CA to Leroy and Genavy Fain. Curt was the eldest of three children and lived the majority of his life in Shafter. He attended local schools including Shafter High. He was a foreman of a great construction crew that was in high demand throughout the state. He worked for an extended length of time in Oceanside, CA. Curtis married Robin Thompson on April 4, 2000 in Las Vegas, NV. Curtis is survived by his wife, Robin Thompson-Fain; his mother, Genavy Golden; sons, Morgan and Travis Fain; daughters, Amber Fain and Ashley Johnston; brother, Gerald Golden; sister, Rhonda and Tony Coronado; and grandchildren, Summer Fain and Gavin Lewis; and nieces and nephews Amanda Golden Salazar, Tyler Wolfe, Sara Wolfe, Rayne Wolfe, Briana Gonzales, Taylor Gonzales; many other family members and friends. A memorial service for Curtis will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Peters Funeral Home Chapel in Shafter, CA. A reception will follow at Companerismo Cristiano Church, 30349 Orange Street, Shafter, CA.
