Curtis F. Daniel was born in his hometown of Bakersfield on August 15, 1939 to Lona A. (Burns) and Berry H. Daniel. He went peacefully to meet his Lord and Savior on April 10, 2010. His mother and sister introduced Curtis to Donna on different occasions, they went out, and later had a double wedding ceremony with his sister June and then fiancé Eddie Knight in Las Vegas 3/17/62. For 17 years without fail an anniversary was celebrated in Las Vegas and on their 10th they witnessed his brother Carl and Patsy exchange their wedding vows, all three couples continue to share the same a beautiful anniversary; Donna will to hold the date near and cherish all the wonderful years Curtis gave her. Curtis did all of the reconstruction work on his home, inside and out, he built a treehouse and made water wheels for the ponds in both his daughters backyard. He enjoyed hunting elk and deer, shooting skeets, working on cars and made time to coach boy's baseball teams in his earlier years. Curtis was a kind, loving and wonderful father, husband, grandpa and great grandpa that will be missed by many. Curtis F. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, great granddaughter Heaven Leigh. Cloud (2008) and is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Donna; daughters Cathy and husband Gil Valdes, Ronda Eichel; sons Mike Steelman and wife Stephanie, Scott Daniel and wife Shirley; 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; 4 sisters, one brother, numerous nieces and nephews, all whom he loved very dearly along with many friends and acquaintances. Pastor Ron Roberson of Higher Ground Church will officiate a graveside service for Curtis F. Daniel, age 70 who passed away in Shafter, on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 – 11am at Shafter Memorial Park. Peters Funeral Home – Shafter will host a visitation on Tuesday, April 13th from 5 to 8pm in their chapel.
