Cortland C. Tatlow, age 66 of Wasco, CA, passed away peacefully at Golden Living Center in Shafter, CA, Saturday, May 21, 2016. Cortland was born October 1, 1949 in Loup City, NE; graduated High School in Farwell, NE; joined the Air Force in 1969; and met and married the love of his life, Deloris Spanel, on September 5, 1970. Starting in Nebraska, he and Deloris raised four children, before settling back in California. Cortland was preceded in death by his youngest daughter, Nichole Marie Tatlow, and his parents, Ralph Raymond Tatlow and Patricia Ann Peters. Cortland is survived by his wife, Deloris Tatlow; two sons, James Tatlow and wife Jennifer, Adam Tatlow and wife Carmen; daughter, Kelly Morris and husband Tony; two sisters, Lanaya Carpenter and Misty Batten. Cortland and Deloris have 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews. Cortland will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, example, courage, toughness, and his devotion to family and friends.
