Consuelo was born on November 17, 1927, to Lucas and Tirza (Gauna) Treviño in Montemorelos, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She married Manuel Gallegos on September 5, 1947, in Mexico. Consuelo loved her Lord and was happiest when at church, reading her bible and having fellowship with the church ladies. She loved her family and enjoyed family gatherings. Consuelo was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel (D. 1989 May 1). She is survived by her children, Frank Gallegos and wife, Elma of Gregory, Texas, Irma McCanne and husband, Lonnie of Madera, Armando Gallegos and wife, Esther of Wasco, Estela Gallegos of Bakersfield and fiancée, Richard of San Mateo, Yolanda and husband, Rev. Edward Baca of Stockton, Dina Ramirez and husband, Eliberto of Bakersfield, Hilda Salas of Wasco, Nicky Burgess and husband, Scott of Bakersfield, Manuel Gallegos and Maria of Bakersfield; 23 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; siblings, Esperanza, Josefina, Leonor, Aurelio, Raul, Ramiro, Felix, Gloria, Dolores Arminda (Nena). Rogelio, Lucas, Jr., and Martha Alicia Treviño Gauna and, Juanita Ayala; and other loving family members who loved and will miss Consuelo. An evening service under the direction of Peters Funeral Home was held at Westside Family Fellowship 2150 Palm Ave. Wasco, on Thursday, October 11, 2007, at 7pm, for Consuelo Treviño Gallegos, age 79, of Bakersfield, who passed away October 5, 2007, in Bakersfield. A chapel service was held at Peters Funeral Home on Friday, October 12, 2007, at 10am, and interment followed at Shafter Memorial Park. Reverend Lee Baca of General Superintendent NPLAD and Rev. Edward Baca of CVC Church of Stockton officiated the service along with Rev. Epifanio Bernal of the Rosa de Saron Church.
