Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we share that Connie Hopkins, 63, of porterville, CA passed away November 4th of 2023 peacefully at home with her husband and daughter by her side. She had a wonderful day with friends and family around her sharing joyous and silly stories throughout the day and her heart was full and she was ready to join her family in the after life.

Connie was born July 20, 1960 to Paul and Eudell Ringer in Wasco, CA. She grew up in Wasco and has many life long friends that share so many memories of running the streets of Wasco. She lost her mother at the early age of 14 and helped raise her younger brother Jeff Ringer. She longed for her mother every day of the rest of her life.

Connie married her soul mate, Bill Hopkins, November 19th, 1984 and they moved to the coast shortly after to raise her daughter Amanda. They had a wonderful and fulfilling life with family, friends, and lots of traveling. Camping and Mexico trips were her favorite, and if family or friends could join- she was on cloud 9. Connie was the most giving, helpful, and loving person. Her door was always open and never thought twice about helping anyone in any circumstances.

Connie loved being a grandma. She has 8 grandchildren who are her true pride and joys. She loved family fiercely and made sure everyone knew how much she cared for them, even if it was with a 2 a.m. phone call. Her laugh is infectious and her blue eyes and bright smile will be forever missed. She will always be loved beyond measures by everyone who knew her.

Connie is joining her mother and father, Eudell and Paul Ringer, her beloved niece, Rhonda Johnson, and many other friends and family members she has missed through the years in heaven. She is survived by her husband just shy of 39 years, Bill Hopkins; her two sisters, Geniece (Butch) Johnson, Charlotte Head; her two brothers, Gaylon (Trudy) Smith, Jeff (Teresa) Ringer; her daughter Amanda (Phil) Franco, her children Kevin, Tatum, Paytyn, and Harper; her two step daughters Christal( Chris) Miller, her daughters Savannah and Sydney; and Terra (James) Collins, her sons Corbin and Hayden. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Her memories live on in so many of us and she will always be with us.
