Cletta Marie Deatherage was born April 9, 1939, in Camargo, Oklahoma, to James and Jettie Littlejohn. Marie married Donald Worth Deatherage on June 15, 1956, in Delano. The couple lived in Delano for 18 years and eventually moved to Lost Hills. Marie along with her husband, D. W. were very active in the Lost Hills community. She was living at the Golden Living Center in Shafter at the time of her death. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, D. W. (Nov. 26, 1992); parents, James and Jettie; and brother, Arthur Littlejohn. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Vernon and Janice, and Don and Kathyleen Deatherage; daughter, Patricia and husband, John Burns; 4 grandchildren, Josh, Ashley, Mary and George; 1 great grandchild, Emily. A graveside funeral service under the direction of Peters Funeral Home was held at Wasco Memorial Park on Friday, March 7, 2008, at 2pm, for Cletta Marie Deatherage, age 68, of Shafter, who passed away March 4, 2008, in Shafter.
