Clarence was the son of Clarence Sr. and Opal Evans and was raised in Shafter, California. He graduated from Shafter High School. Shortly after graduating, he started a family and became a successful business owner. He was proud to be self-employed and worked until the very end of his life. Clarence will be best remembered by the love that he gave his family and friends. His legacy of love will continue on in them. He is survived by his dad, Clarence Sr., sister, Linda Hamilton, his children, Sam Evans (wife Paulette), Danny Evans, and Kathy Evans, step-daughters, Christy Slayton (husband Jed), Barbie Thompson (husband Justin), and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He passed away at his home, surrounded by his family, who will miss him immensely. Services will be on Monday, October 13, 2014 at 10am at Peters Funeral Home Chapel, 844 E. Lerdo Hwy., Shafter, Ca. A reception will follow at the Shafter Elks Lodge.
