Obituary

Clarence Edward Evans was born in Wilburton, Oklahoma to Robert Calvin and Rosie (Boweling) Evans. He married the love of his life Opal Franks on December 3, 1938 and together they moved to Wasco, California. World War II sent our dad to serve in the Army in the Philippine Island Luzon Campaign. After the war Clarence and Opal moved to Shafter where he was a farmer for 32 years and also owned Foxy Lady Cocktail Lounge for 17 years. Clarence is survived by his daughter Linda Hamilton; grandchildren Sammy Evans (Paulette), Danny Evans (Laurie), Charles Barnes (Donna), Kathy Evans (Billy), Kassandra Wernhart (Hanes), Vanessa Perry Susan Renae Myers (Dee); great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by wife of 61 years Opal and his son Clarence Evans Jr. Funeral service for Clarence were held on Wednesday July 20, 2016 at 10am followed by a Celebration of Life at Wasco – Shafter Elks Lodge at noon. Pallbearers were Sam Evans, Dan Evans, Chuck Barnes, Daiel Evans, Andrew Evans, Billy Perry, Brandon Lopez, Mitchel Wernhart, and Devon Ford. Honorary Pallbears were Dave Hughes and Robert Ash.
