Clarita "Clara" Kroeker, 69, of Bakersfield, Ca passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2021. Clara was born in Tina-an Naga Cebu, Phillippines to Lourdes Boragay and Gavino Boragay. Clara spent the first half of her life in the Philippines with her family until she met and married her late husband, Steven Kroeker. She came to reside in the Bakersfield area in the mid- 1980s. She worked and retired from Kmart, her first job in the United States. Clara, a soft spoken always smiling lighthearted soul, loved her family and friends deeply. She loved to travel back and forth to the Phillippines to spend time with her family and recently built a new home there. She enjoyed cooking Filipino for her friends and she loved playing the slots in Vegas. Clara is preceded in death by her parents Lourdes Boragay and Gavino Boragay; sister, Blandina Michael; brother, Tony Boragay and her husband, Steven Kroeker. She is survived by her sister Lydia Reine; sister, Proferia Lilang; brother, Marcial Boragay; brother, Alex Boragay and her 8 nieces and 7 nephews from both the United States and the Phillippines; as well as her close friends, who She thought of as family.
