Ciriaco Gonzalez Soto was born September 11, 1943 in Nuevo Chupicuaro, Guanajuato, Mexico to Jose S. and Maria (Gonzalez) Soto. He married Esther Dominguez. He worked as a farm laborer his whole life. He enjoyed gardening and was a man with a smart sense of humor. He was a very likeable and charming man that people were drawn to. He will be remembered for his big heart; a generous and giving man. He was very sociable and compassionate toward others. Ciriaco is survived by his loving wife, Esther; his mother, Maria DeJesus Soto; sons, Ciriaco and his wife, Ginger, Eduardo and Abel; daughters, Maria Angela and husband Daniel Jerome, Cristela and husband Martin DeLaCruz, Judith Soto and Xochitl and husband Jose Ortiz; Siblings, Beneranda Torres, Gabriel Soto, Bernadita Mora, Irais Gonzalez, Jose Soto, Gilberto Soto, Everardo Soto and Maria Soto; and 13 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Soto, sister, Matilde Alberto and brother, Jesus Soto. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at St. Therese's Church, on March 24 at 7 PM. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 25 at 10 AM at St. Therese's Church in Shafter, Fr. Ralph Belluomini will officiate and interment will follow at Shafter Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at Peters Funeral Home on Monday March 24 from 2-6 PM.
