Chris loved the openness and freedom of the high desert community. It was an ideal setting for his pursuit of off-road motorcycle riding, which was his passion for many years. He specialized in the art of motorcycle maintenance. He loved to work on all types of bikes, and helped many local riders to service and maintain their machines. He first started riding in the 1970's, in the rugged wooded trails of New England. He moved to Southern California in the 1980's to make a year-round pursuit of trail-riding and motorcycle sports. He found peace and comfort in the desert surroundings, and was awed by the unique beauty of the high country. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends, and will be remembered for his contributions to the biking community.
