Christina Hernandez Rodriguez was born October 30, 1988 in Bakersfield, California to Ernestina Ambrocio Hernandez and Jose Guadalupe Rodriquez. Christina attended elementary schools in Delano. Then the family moved to Wasco and she graduated from Wasco Union High School with the Class of 2006. She went on to attend Bakersfield College. Christina worked as a receptionist in dental offices in Bakersfield and Delano, was warehouse lead at Cuties in Delano and held other jobs. She enjoyed being a homemaker and was an excellent cook; chili rellenos, shrimp tacos, fried ice cream, flan and chocolate flan were family favorites. Christina enjoyed going to the beach and going out with friends, but family was the most important part of her life. Her family was close and she made sure everyone got together for the holidays. Christina is survived by her fiancé, Tony Acosta; daughter, Aieden Kristine Acosta; mother, Ernestina Hernandez and father, Jose Rodriguez; brothers, Humberto Hernandez, Jose G. Rodriguez, Christian Rodriguez and Isaac T. Rodriguez; sisters, Ramona Raya Hernandez, Karla Gamino and Crystal Rodriguez; and many other loving family members. Holy Rosary will be recited Monday, April 13, at 6pm at Peters Funeral Home, Wasco for Christina Hernandez Rodriguez, age 26, of Shafter who passed away in a vehicular accident near Selma, California on April 7, 2015. Mass of the Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, April 14 at 10am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Delano followed by interment at South Kern Cemetery, Delano. A visitation will be held Monday, April 13 from 2pm to 7pm at Peters Funeral Home, Wasco.
