Obituary

Chris Anthony Gonzales October 6, 1968 – August 11, 2011 Chris Anthony Gonzales was born to Ray Anthony Gonzales and Jo Ann (Park) Gonzales on October 6, 1968, and departed his earthly home on August 11, 2011. Throughout life Chris has been an example of hard work and dedication to everything he has done. Spending his youth involved in Little League, Track & Field, Football, Band and the Boy Scouts coming only one merit badge shy of becoming an Eagle Scout. Much enjoyment was found in the life lessons he discovered in everyday endeavors. His education began at Garfield Elementary School and continued to Alhambra High School, attending DeVry University and Bakersfield College. Intelligence was a natural gift to Chris and he very much enjoyed learning all he could about everything he tackled. Never one to let down a friend, Chris's motto was "I'll take care of it" and if he told you he would take care of it you can bet he would. Chris discovered the joy of camaraderie through his participation in the Arvin Lions Club, Arvin Bear Boosters, Arvin High Leo's Club and he gave selflessly in the service of God and the church. His untimely departure leaves an empty place in a great many hearts. but through his final moments the strength, courage and support he gave to us all allowed his many loved ones to say their goodbyes with peace and dignity. The life and memory of Chris Gonzales will be with those he leaves behind. His Wife Paula, His son Cameron Gonzales his Grandma Helen Park, Grandpa Robert Park, His devoted mother JoAnn Harlow, His Brothers John and Steve Gonzales, In-Laws Clyde & Mary Steele and Virgie & Ken Witte and will be missed by a long line of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins, Chris also says goodbye to his only Niece Baylee Gonzales hoping she knows he will forever be her Guardian Angel, Chris will be welcomed in Heaven by his Father Ray Anthony Gonzales Paternal Grandparents Ray and Mary Gonzales, Great Grandma Park, his Uncle (James Park) Jimbo, His Step Father Art Fierro as well as others. His memory is very near to our hearts and Heaven will be richer to have an extraordinary man we all knew as Chris. He will be missed and never forgotten.
