Cheryl was born at Miss Freise's Maternity Hospital in Bakersfield, California, and spent her younger years in Shafter. She passed away peacefully in Pismo Beach, California, into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior.

Cheryl was a devoted and loving wife to Tom and extremely proud of her entire family, which includes her two sons, Mike (Brenda) and Todd (Claudia), and step-daughter, Stacey (Lee), 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Vincent and Lucille McClure, and her sister, Paula Linden.

Cheryl was passionate about her faith in our Lord and Savior. She attended Fruitvale – now RiverLakes Community Church most of her adult life. She was active for many years in Bible Study Fellowship. For the past 10+ years she was very involved with the Primetimers and Community Group at RiverLakes Church. She was also involved in the Kern High School Student Leadership program.

Cheryl had a long career with the Panama Buena Vista School District, first as a librarian with Castle School and later in the District Office, retiring in 2007.

Known for her caring heart for others, she will be dearly missed by so many. Cheryl loved her family and was a dedicated and loyal wife, mom, MeeMaw, and friend to so many. She was a loving example of being the hands and feet of Jesus, always putting others before herself – she truly had a servant's heart.

Services will be held on May 31, 2023, beginning at 10:00am, at RiverLakes Community Church, 4301 Calloway Drive, Bakersfield, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cheryl's name to: Samaritan's Purse, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, RiverLakes Community Church or the SPCA.
