Diane was the daughter of the late Collins Crosby and Katherine Crosby Bann of Bakersfield, California. Diane was born in Wasco, CA and died of complications of diabetes at Delano Regional Medical Center. She lived all her life in Wasco, graduating from Wasco schools. She graduated with AA degree in the Nursing Assistant Program from Bakersfield College. She was a 35 year employee of Memorial Hospital in Bakersfield. She worked in ER and was appreciated for her knowledge and assistance to the doctors, nurses and patients, knowing how to make things flow smoothly through hospital channels. Diane was a very talented seamstress and enjoyed making gifts for family and friends and especially for babies and toddlers. She was also talented making craft items from various materials. Her diabetes caused her to lose most of her eye sight. She was looking forward to a second cataract removal, so she could sew again. In the last five years, she lost both legs below the knees and was looking forward to walk on recently fitted artificial legs. Diane is survived by one daughter, Crystal Garcia-Hudgins, son in law, Terry Hudgins, three grandchildren, Cassie and Dylan Sager and Terri Nicole Hudgins, one great grandchild, Emma Grace (1 year old) all of Myrtlewood, Alabama. She is also survived by her brother, Randy Crosby and sister, Beverly Aguirre and former brother in law, John Aguirre of Bakersfield, CA., Loving aunt Dorothy Crosby Hoffman, of Bakersfield, step-mother, Joann Crosby of Shafter, six nieces and nephews, nine great nieces and nephews. Diane cared especially for her friend and caretaker Christie Atinson and her daughter Tara Kelly, both faithful to the end.
