Charles was born in Providence, Rhode Island and raised in Memphis Tennessee. Charles first came to California in 1961, and moved to the Shafter Area in 1967. He graduated from Shafter High School. Charles worked at Richland School from 1967 to 1977. He then moved on to Belridge Oil Co. which later became Shell and was an electrician from 1977 to 1999. Charles loved to travel and he loved to go to new places. Charles had a place in San Felipe Mexico. He took many RV trips across the country and to Canada. In the winter he and wife would stay in Quartzsite Arizona. He loved to hunt and fish. He was also active in the Wasco Elks. Charles passed away December 30, 2016 surrounded by his family. Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Evelyn. He is survived by his wife Sharon, daughters Marilyn, Stephanie Roden, Rachel Arizmendez-Munoz and husband Vincent, son Emilio Arizmendez, sister Teri Musgrove and husband Dennis, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services were held at Peters Funeral Home with a viewing on Jan. 5, at 5-8 and a graveside service at Shafter Memorial Park at 1 pm on Friday Jan. 6, 2017
