Obituary

Charleen Frances Senter-McCain was born January 21, 1925 in Hemet, California to Charles and Nora (Warren) Hemme. Charleen married Max Leroy Senter in San Diego in 1941. She lived in the Imperial Valley and Big Bear Lake where she worked as a real estate banker. She attended her high school class reunion where she met her former classmate, Wesley McCain. They were married 6 months later on their birthdays in January 1988 and moved to Wasco. Charleen had been living in Oregon with her family for the last seven years. Charleen enjoyed going to the rodeo, bowling, and the beauty of flowers. She was a member o the Brigadetts, a ladies horse riding group and was also a member of the Cowboy Church. Charleen is survived by her sons, Robert Lee Senter of Brawley, Joseph Leroy Senter of Mesa, Arizona, William Charles Senter of Kennewick, Washington, Donald Craig Senter of Gold Hill, Oregon and Americo Yacopi of Imperial Valley; and 27 grandchildren. Charleen was preceded in death by her husbands, Leroy Senter and Wesley McCain; daughter, Linda Womack and 2 grandsons, Aaron and Allen Senter. Graveside services will be conducted by Peters Funeral Home on Monday, July 21, 2008 at 10am at Wasco Memorial Park for Charleen Frances Senter-McCain, age 83, who passed away July 11, 2008 in Gold Hill, Oregon.
