Celia Muñoz Hernandez of Arvin, passed away on Monday April 2, 2018. She was 79 years old. Celia was born in Valparaiso Zacatecas in 1939 and was raised in Mexico, before moving to the Arvin area the 1974. She is preceded by her mother Guadalupe and father Prisciliano and grandson Carlos. She is survived by her husband Jesus Muñoz, her sister Rosenda and her children Efren (Lupe) Muñoz, Victor Muñoz, Lupe Muñoz, Amalia (Gildardo) Leal, Jessie (Maricela) Muñoz, grandchildren Tina, Rachel, Efren, George, Amalia, Mario, Jessie, Gloria, Amber, Natalie, Gil, Rene and 24 great grandchildren. Celia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a gardening expert with a love for elephant ears and hydrangeas, she enjoyed sewing and crocheting items for her family. She enjoyed cooking and experimenting in the kitchen. Services will be held at St. Thomas The Apostle Church at 350 E Bear Mountain Blvd, Arvin, California 93203 on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. A viewing and rosary will be held at Arvin Funeral Home at 600 Tucker Street on Thursday April 12, 2018 from 3p.m. to 8 p.m. Rosary will be at 6pm.
