Cecilia was born November 22, 1921 to Gilberto T. and Cecilia (Rodriguez) Villarreal in Bryan, Texas. She came to California in 1939 and married her husband of 65 years, Raul R. Munoz on June 12, 1943 in Delano. Raul's job in construction took them to many different towns throughout California including, San Jose, Stockton, Los Angeles and San Andreas before returning to Wasco in 1990. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and gardening; but took great pride in the care and love she gave to her husband Raul. Cecilia and Raul liked to visit Laughlin, Las Vegas and Reno. Cecilia is survived by her husband Raul; her brother Felix Villarreal; as well as many loving nieces and nephews and other family members. She is preceded in death by her brother, Jose Villarreal and her parents. Cecilia loved her brothers dearly. Recitation of The Holy Rosary will be Thursday, October 30, at 6pm at Peters Funeral Home for Cecilia Villarreal Munoz, age 86, of Wasco who passed away October 25, 2008 in Shafter. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, October 31, 2008 at 10am at St. Johns Catholic Church. Father John Fluetsch will officiate the service and interment will follow at Wasco Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday from 2pm – 8pm.
