Obituary

Catalina Villarreal was born in San Juan Del Rio, Durango, Mexico on May 10, 1951 to Jose and Soledad Villarreal. Catalina was a bold and strong, single mother of four children. She was a hard working woman who loved her family dearly, and always found a way to make ends meet. Catalina worked for Salter Labs for over 20 years, and always made time to help others when they needed a hand. She could often be found working in her garden, she could make anything grow. In her spare time she enjoyed singing and dancing, but mostly, the family will always remember her great sense of humor. Catalina was an honest woman, and she would tell you what was on her mind; she was the backbone of our family, our hero, our queen. Catalina is survived by her children, Raymond Grijalva, Alex Villarreal and his wife Jackie, Tanisha Bridges, and Kathy Bridges; her grandchildren, Little Ray and Jada Grijalva, Victoria, Alex and Bella Villarreal, Blas, Kaitlyn and Daniel Gil-Bridges, and Isaiah Nathaniel Cardenas. Father Chummar Chiryath celebrated a Mass of Christian Burial which was held at St. Thomas Catholic Church on Thursday, February16, 2012, immediately following Recitation of the Holy Rosary which began at 6:00PM. Committal Service was held on Friday, February 17, 2012, at 1:00PM, at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, CA
