Carol was born on August 23, 1954 in Wasco, California to Clyde and Geraldine McIllwain. She married the love of her life, Robert Ashe on May 25, 1976. Together they raised two daughters, Monica and Christy. They lived a very happy life together in Shafter and were planning to celebrate their 39th wedding anniversary in Canada, visiting Robert's family. Canada was always a happy place for our parents. Carol passed away on March 25, 2014 at San Joaquin Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. Carol leaves behind, her loving husband Robert; daughter and son in law, Monica and Brad Hummel; granddaughters, Carly and Hali Hummel; daughter Christy Wood; granddaughter Brittney and grandson Brandon Wood, by great granddaughter, Mariah Campos, whom she shared a special bond and relationship, and great grandson Jessie; siblings, Barbara (Ted) Devoe, Sandy (Cecil) Eagle, Vonnie (Gary) Jones; and brother Ronnie McIllwain. Carol is also survived by numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and many close friends. She was preceded in death, by parents, Clyde and Geraldine, sister Opal and brother Ralph.
