IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carole Lynn
Anderson
March 18, 1955 – January 22, 2026
Memorial Service
Congregational Bible Church Shafter
Starts at 11:00 am
Carole Lynn Anderson, 70, of Bakersfield, CA, passed away peacefully, January 22, 2026, surrounded by family. A devoted wife, adoring mother and grandmother, caring sister, aunt, and teacher, Carole will be remembered for her peaceful spirit, love of learning, and faithful heart.
Carole found joy in her collection of frogs, peace signs, and Beanie Babies. Her happiest days were spent at the beach reading, taking drives in her red sports car, and listening to music from the 1970s. In recent years, Carole reclaimed her faith and was joyfully baptized, which brought her spiritual fulfillment and peace.
Born March 18, 1955, in San Bernardino, California, and spent her youth in Apple Valley and Bakersfield. A graduate of West High School, she attended Bakersfield College and earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees in education from California State University, Bakersfield, where she was an active member of the band at each school, playing flute and piccolo.
Carole devoted 39 years to teaching fourth grade in the Richland School District in Shafter. She loved teaching California history, reading aloud each day to her students, and was a proud founder of the "Fourth Grade Sleepover". A member of Delta Kappa Gamma, the International Society of Key Women Educators, she mentored aspiring teachers, and stayed in touch with former students, forever cherishing them as her kids.
Carole was preceded in death by her father, Lt Col (USA Ret) John Louis Bausano, and her mother, Nancy Elaine Bausano. She is survived by her loving husband, Michael David Anderson; daughter Kristen Tiffany Kolpacoff (Chad); son SSG (USA Ret) Nathan Grey Anderson; grandsons Connor and Colton Kolpacoff; siblings Kenneth Bausano (Deidra), Kathryn Parks (Michael) nephew Jacob Parks, and Col (USAF Ret) CJ Bausano (Warren); many extended family members and friends; her beloved cat, Purrsey Jaxson, and countless former students who knew her as Ms. Guterez.
A memorial service celebrating Carole's life will be held at 11:00AM, March 7th, at Congregational Bible Church of Shafter.
In lieu of flowers, consider bringing a new backpack to be donated to the Richland School District where Carole dedicated her teaching career.
