IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carmen R.
Carmona
January 19, 1924 – February 28, 2010
Carmen R. Carmona, known by her family as our beloved "Nana", was born on January 19, 1924 to Felipe and Francisca Rodriguez in Kansas City, Kansas. In 1943 she married the love of her life and partner for life, Eubdelio L. Carmona, who preceded her in death in 1996. Through their love they had 3 wonderful sons, Phillip, Ernie and Robert and 1 beautiful daughter Mary. Nana suffered from many medical conditions towards the end of her life with us but in the late evening hours of February 27, she became whole and healed to rest forever in the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ. She will be known for her love and commitment to the church, her strong faith and giving spirit, as well as her devotion to her family. The center of her universe was her husband, the church and her family. Nana was a very strong spiritual woman and longed for the day to join her savior and husband in the kingdom of Heaven. Although she will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew and loved her, we will take comfort in knowing she is at peace and rejoicing with those loved ones who have preceded her in death that she often kept in prayer. She is survived by all her children: Phillip Carmona and wife, Deborah; Mary Rodriguez and husband Tony; Ernie Carmona and wife Anita; Robert Carmona and wife Robbie and 1 brother, Valentin and 1 sister Josefina. Also, she leaves behind 8 grandchildren: Sylvia Lozano, Anthony Rodriguez, Candice Sifuentes, Richard Carmona, Amy Carmona, Sabrina Rodriguez, Jason Carmona, and Christina Carmona and 3 great-grandchildren: Annelyse, Abby and Calista Brianne to cherish her memory and to carry on the traditions instilled in us by her. A visitation and celebration of life will be held for Carmen R. Carmona, age 86, Wednesday, March 3, 2010 5 to 8pm, with the Rosary recited at 7pm at Arvin Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of the Resurrection will be at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Arvin at 11:30am and interment will follow at South Kern Cemetery District.
